You’ve found it. This is the best listing of heroes on the internet, possibly the best in the universe (though the universe is quite a big place).
The Galley of Heroes is easy-to-search, easy-to-browse, easy-to-read, and easy-on-the-eye.
This gallery is an edited and moderated collection of heroes from around the world. Inside you’ll find heroes from history and from now, from fiction and real life. There are famous heroes and barely-recognized heroes. They’re tall, short, male, female, young, old, and multi-coloured.
Heroes qualify for inclusion if they have completed a hero’s journey or if they possess more than one of the following attributes: Achievement, Caring, Courage, Faith, Humility, Integrity, Perseverance, Selflessness, Tolerance, Vision, Wisdom.
A note on the Categories. Heroes are classes as either Idols, Action Heroes, or Reaction Heroes. You can find out the definitions of those categories at the Hero Handbook - http://www.theherohandbook.com/what-is-a-hero. The fourth Category is Hero’s Journey. You can also read more on that idea at the Hero Handbook - http://www.theherohandbook.com/the-heros-journey.
The site used to be housed on the Hero Construction Company website. The HCC builds heroes in schools through a series of in-classroom programs. Click here for more information.
