Indiana Jones is a fictional adventurer, OSS agent, professor of archaeology, and the protagonist of the Indiana Jones franchise.
Jones takes part in many adventures where he is required to use his skills as a soldier and ex-spy in various dangerous situations, perhaps most notably, when confronting the Nazis.
In his first adventure, he is pitted against the Nazis and travels across the globe to prevent them from recovering the Ark of the Covenant. The Nazis are led by Jones’s arch rival, a Nazi-sympathizing French archaeologist named René Belloq, and Arnold Toht, a sinister Gestapo agent.
Jones was then again made famous in his role in the film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, where he is dragged unwittingly into a rescue mission to recover children whilst pursuing the Indian relics; the Sankara Stones from the bloodthirsty Thuggee cult in India.
In his next mission, Jones is once again pitted against the Nazis in their search for the Holy Grail. In the end Jones is able to give up glory and power by leaving the Grail it in its hiding place so its power cannot be disturbed again.
